Gakyil Thimphu Hotel

The hotel offered complimentary Easter eggs and an Easter breakfast, which was a nice touch. the location was great - close to popular tourist spots and shopping areas. the room had a comfortable bed and clean bathroom.

The staff seemed uninterested in our needs and requests. the hotel did not have any Easter decorations or ambiance, which would have been appreciated since we were there for the holiday.

The hotel offered modern and clean rooms and a friendly and helpful staff. The location was perfect, allowing visitors to easily experience the local culture and attractions. the breakfast had a good selection of both western and local cuisine.

The restaurant and its staff were understaffed, causing long wait times and crowded conditions. The food was also not of the highest quality.

We had a wonderful stay at Gakyil in Thimphu. The staff was friendly and were pretty good too make our stay comfortable. The rooms were well-maintained and the views were amazing. The hotel is conveniently located in the center of town, making it easy to explore. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. we had a fantastic experience at Gakyil.

Located in the heart of the city, this hotel has a prime location near the clock tower and local markets. the staff is friendly and attentive, with a great on-site restaurant that serves breakfast and other meals at reasonable prices. the rooms are clean, with fresh sheets and heaters that keep the space cozy during colder months.

The bathroom facilities could use some improvement, with some rooms lacking hand faucets.

This hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Thimphu town, next to the iconic clock tower. The central location offers easy access to shops and cafes, allowing guests to explore the town on foot. The staff were professional and provided excellent hospitality during our stay. The rooms were equipped with all necessary amenities and the breakfast spread was fantastic.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. the location couldn't be better as it is right in the centre of Thimphu, within walking distance of all the shops and near the famous Clock Tower. Secondly, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always greeting me with a big smile. Lastly, the rooms on the 3rd floor were spacious and comfortable, and I loved having a bar at one end. Plus, the breakfast spread was delicious and had a wide variety of options to choose from.

I recently had a great stay at a hotel in the heart of Thimphu, just near the clock tower. The location was perfect as it was well within the shopping areas near Clock Tower and there were plenty of Indian restaurants and cafes nearby. The staff were extremely polite and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The rooms on the 3rd floor were well-appointed and had a nice view of the mountains, even though there was a building partially obstructing it. Additionally, the hotel had a bar at one end, which was convenient for a relaxing evening. I also enjoyed the breakfast provided, which had a good variety of options.
